Grown-up psychiatric department has 10 sections, Volda DPS, DPS Vegsund, Sjøholt DPS, psychiatric outpatient clinic (Ålesund), Receiving Section, Subakuttseksjon, Special Section, Long Term Division, Alderspsykiatrisk section and strengthen the rehabilitation section. We are a young and dynamic department where commitment and creativity are very welcome, we also drive a lot of development work and research.

Receiving Section is an emergency department with 8 beds. The receiving section provides quick medical assessment and treatment of acute mental sick patients. One considers here what section and level is right for the patient and the further processing. It is a good professional cooperation between all sections and communes.
